Our members respond to nearly 300 alarms each year and participate in several hours of training each week. We have an ISO rating of 4.

Additionally, the department participates in numerous community events such as Mechanicville Family Day, Whitewater Derby, Duck Derby, DARE Run, Feast of the Assumption and the Cystic Fibrosis Sports Challenge.
Being an all volunteer department, we are actively accepting new members for all types of duties. These include: fire suppression personnel, vehicle operators, emergency medical technicians, exterior personnel and auxiliary members. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer and serving your community, applications may be obtained at the Central Fire Station on Wednesday nights after 6:30 and the second Thursday of each month at 7:00pm.
